Daily Journey

Fes → Ifrane → Cedar Forest → Ziz Valley → Merzouga

Leaving Fes, the route passes through Ifrane and into the cedar forests of the Middle Atlas, where Barbary macaques may sometimes be seen. After lunch in Midelt, the road continues through the Ziz Valley toward Merzouga. On arrival, a sunset camel trek leads into the Sahara camp for dinner and local music.

Merzouga Desert Exploration

The second day is dedicated to exploring the Sahara around Merzouga. After a desert sunrise and breakfast, a 4x4 excursion visits nomadic communities depending on conditions, the village of Khamlia known for its Gnawa music, the M'Fis mining area and a seasonal oasis. Lunch is taken in the Merzouga area, with sandboarding available when conditions allow, before a second night in selected desert accommodation.

Daily Journey

Merzouga → Rissani → Todra Gorges → Dades Valley

After breakfast, the route continues to Rissani, where a traditional market may be operating, before heading to the Todra Gorges. Following a lunch stop, the road passes through further valley landscapes on the way to the Dades Valley, where the day ends with dinner and an overnight stay.

Dades Valley → Valley of Roses → Ouarzazate → Aït Ben Haddou → Marrakech

The final day begins with breakfast before continuing through the Valley of Roses and on to Ouarzazate. The route passes the UNESCO-listed kasbah of Aït Ben Haddou before climbing into the High Atlas Mountains via Tizi n'Tichka, with panoramic stops along the way. The journey ends with arrival in Marrakech and drop-off at your hotel or riad.
